Where Shedeur Sanders might end up going in the 2025 NFL Draft has become quite the topic of conversation. Many people have weighed, including Coach Prime who was clear about two things. His son won't be headed to a cold weather city and he'll hold out for a winning franchise. Deion Sanders even went on the record about Shedeur going within the top four picks. However, Cam Newton doesn’t feel the same way.

The former NFL MVP recently said on Club Shay Shay that he doesn’t view Sanders going in the top end of the draft, even with a year left on the books at Colorado. But, Newton did name one ideal landing spot for the Buffs "Grown" quarterback.

“Atlanta,” Newton said. One would question that decision because of the massive contract Kirk Cousins signed with the Falcons. Not unlikely, but would take a huge commitment.

"If Prime can get Shedeur in Atlanta, let me tell you something, all businesses, including Magic City, will be appreciative of that damn pick right there," Newton added. "Real talk. So, these are the things that…but I don’t think he’ll be a top-four pick as he was on record as saying. And that’s fine.”

Sanders was noted as one of the top three QB's on this year's draft board, according to ESPN's Mel Kiper, Jr. He decided to wait a year, which might be one of the best decisions overall. More NIL money will come his way, along with a full year under Pat Shurmur's offensive scheme. Shedeur will be better equipped to be at the top of next year's class with better game film in hand for NFL scouts.
