Coach Prime recalls roasting Shilo Sanders during CSU game

Sanders kept it real with his son and was right about it

Deion Sanders always keeps it honest, especially when it comes to his kids. He recalled a situation that happened with Shilo Sanders during the end of the Rocky Mountain Showdown with CSU. Prime's middle son came up to him and asked if the defense was going back into the game. That's when Dad came out of Coach Prime in the most hilarious way.     

“Shilo walked by me and instead of saying “Coach”… he said, ‘Dad... The defense going out on the field first?’ and I said ‘Boy, y'all ain't stopped nobody all day. I'm putting your brother out there, because I know what he’s gonna do," Sanders told CW's Inside the NFL.

Sometimes you can't help but have Dad come out of you. For Sanders, he treats all his players like they're family and considers his entire roster full of sons.It's what makes him unique and one of the best.   

The move not to have Shilo and the Buffs' defense back out on the field was the difference in Colorado's double-overtime thriller. Shedeur Sanders led the Buffaloes’ offense on a knockout scoring drive that forced the extra periods. However the defense pulled out a stop to secure the win. They did it all with Travis Hunter, who went to the hospital with a lacerated liver.  

Colorado's two wins away from making the postseason for the first time in seven years. A tremendous feat considering the Buffs barely notched a single win last season. They'll get another shot this weekend with Stanford in Boulder for a Friday the 13th affair (10 p.m. ET/ TV: ESPN).
