WATCH: Deion Sanders says, "I don't know about that last part," when singing Colorado's fight song

In this story:
They say some traditions will never die. However, in the case of Deion Sanders and Colorado's fight song, there might need to be an amendment to the adopted ending. Not "Shoulder to shoulder, We will fight, fight, Fight, fight, fight," but what comes after with, "Buff em' up (Or whatever variation you sing), Buff em' up, GO CU!"
Sanders had the players from last year's Buffaloes team sing right after Friday's team meeting and said, "I don't know about that last part." Now, Coach Prime isn't one for vulgar language, and this certainly won't fly. But It's still a long-standing tradition at CU with the crowds. Nonetheless, it is a hilarious moment of Sanders with the team right before TCU game week starts.

Coach Prime showed off his dance moves at CU's 2023 Kickoff Luncheon on Friday as well. He pulled Buffs mega fan Peggy Coppom for a dance. The 98-year-old has been attending football games since her family moved from the high plains of eastern Colorado to Boulder in 1939 to escape the Dust Bowl. She's missed only a few games since 1966.
Colorado heads to Fort Worth next week for a meeting with 17th-ranked TCU. The preview of the future Big 12 affairs will kickoff at Noon ET on FOX.
