Deion Sanders has always been fond of Roger Goodell. The Colorado Buffaloes football coach is one of the few legends with a unique tie to the NFL commissioner after coaching his nephew at Jackson State.

Coach Prime even admitted that he wanted Charlton Goodell to make the transition with him to Colorado last year. It was one of the things he told the league's top man while sharing a moment at NFL Honors on Thursday night. Goodell also got an opportunity to talk with Shilo and Shedeur Sanders, who accompanied their father at the ceremony in Las Vegas. They discussed next season and coming back to Colorado for a final season via Well Off Media

Charlton Goodell committed to Coach Prime at JSU and developed a good relationship with Shilo, who admitted he wanted to be reunited with his defensive teammate. He eventually moved on from the HBCU and transferred to Buffalo last year.

Sanders and his sons took a break from offseason conditioning drills at Colorado. The Buffs secured one of the best combined recruiting classes over the past twenty years, with seven four-star players, along with five-star offensive lineman Jordan Seaton from IMG Academy. The weight of Coach Prime's influence has brought in three of the top players in CU history in just 14 months on campus in Boulder.
