In this story:

It's clear Tim Tebow is in full support of what Deion Sanders is trying to accomplish in Boulder.

The former Heisman winner took an interview with On3's Nick Kosko and talked about Colorado's amazing start. He praised Coach Prime for doing it his way from the start.

"I love it, but I also love it because he’s doing it his way," Tebow said. "And I love it because he’s doing it with such passion and love and belief and build-up of young men. I think that’s something that sometimes gets missed."

Tebow has watched the highlights of Sanders talking to his players. He sees it as a positive experience all the way around with Prime's leadership on full display. When you're at that level of being one of the best to ever play the game, it's often easy to lose that quality. For Sanders, it's part of his background.

"They believe they can do more and accomplish more after they’ve been around him," Tebow noted. "That’s a sign of a good coach. That’s a sign of building confidence. That’s a sign of encouragement, of real encouragement. And I love that."

Tebow's college coach made a recent trip to see Sanders in Boulder. Urban Meyer popped in for a quick trip during the off-season and said he was impressed with what he saw from the Hall-of-Famer. He also said Travis Hunter was a generational talent who likely won't be needing to practice often.

Sanders' transition into the Power Five could help open the door for former players like Tebow to break into the coaching ranks. It's often been the assumption that great players don't make good coaches, but Coach Prime seems to be defying the odds.
