If you think Deion Sanders didn’t hear all the doubters, you couldn’t be more wrong. He saw the jokes. He’s heard the grumblings. It didn’t faze him.
When the latest recruiting rankings were published by ESPN and 247 Sports, Colorado was wedged somewhere between Carolina and Miami…..that’s Coastal Carolina and Miami of Ohio.
But things have dramatically changed in Boulder. We saw some glimpses in 2023 when Cormani McClain and others switched their commitments to the Buffs just before signing day.
While Colorado fans wished for a bowl game this year, it may turn out to be a blessing in disguise. After today, the coaches can solely focus on recruiting between now and signing day. This means many more opportunities to compete for top talent.
As Coach Prime stated from day one, “we coming.” And while going from 3-0 to 4-7 is disappointing, the impact has been felt far beyond the football field.
