Deion Sanders is away from campus recovering from a second blood clot surgery, but the excitement surrounding his progress is scorching hot.

The University of Colorado announced two sellouts going into the 2023 football season. A week two home opener vs. Nebraska will be at capacity on Sept. 9. It's the latest installment of the western rivalry going back to the days of the Big Seven Conference.

A back-and-forth series with the Buffs and Huskers over the past 125 years. Colorado has taken the past two contests but the two haven't played in this recruiting cycle. It's also the first time for Sanders to face Matt Rhule, who joined Nebraska after being dumped by the Carolina Panthers before the end of the 2022 NFL season.

Colorado's match-up with Stanford will also be in front of a sellout crowd. The Oct. 13 'Family Weekend' affair with the Cardinal is expected to be a great one to watch.

Believe it or not, the last time CU lost to Stanford was in 2015. Former Valor Christian standout Christian McCaffrey's breakout sophomore season with the Cardinal, rushing for over 2,000 yards and eight touchdowns. He was named AP College Football Player of the Year and was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy.

Tickets are still available for the remainder of CU's home games. Visit CUBuffs.com for more information.
