Colorado linebacker Marvin Ham II has entered the transfer portal on Tuesday.

Ham appeared in seven games this season with 36 total tackles and a sack. He was one of the nine standout player who stayed after hearing Deion Sanders' famed Louis luggage speech last year. Ham played in 23 games while at Colorado with 66 total tackles and 1.5 sacks during his career. He was honorable mention on the Academic All-Colorado Team by the Colorado Chapter of the National Football Foundation.

Ham was noted as a four-star recruit and the No. 12 inside linebacker in the 2019 class, according to 247Sports. He was an All-State selection as a senior at Belleville HS (Michigan). An honor roll student-athlete all four years in high school with a 3.8 GPA.

This leaves Deion Sanders and his staff thin at the core of the defense. It will be one of the positions with immediate needs via the transfer portal when it reopens on Dec. 4. They're also losing Jordan Domineck to the NFL next year.

When the dust settles for Ham, he'll have a year of eligibility left.
