After taking a step forward as a true freshman with Coach Prime and Colorado, Jaden Milliner-Jones has decided he's ready to pursue action elsewhere in the future.

The Buffs defensive back announced he would be entering the transfer portal on Monday. The 6-foot, 200-pound safety from DeSoto (Texas) was one of Deion Sanders first flips after coming to Boulder. He committed to SMU before switching up last-minute to be at Colorado.

Jones played in all 12 games during his first year and got the start at Washington State. He recorded 25 tackles with three PDUs in a rotation behind Shilo Sanders and Myles Slusher. One of CU's most experienced special teams players with over 200 snaps.

Colorado is currently down to plus seven in the transfer portal tally. Coach Prime and the Buffs are also losing offensive lineman Savion Washington, who had battled injuries last year, and defense lineman Chazz Wallace. Not a shocking surprise for any of them considering how the roster is starting to turn out.

The Buffs opened up week four of Spring Practice on Monday. It was a refreshed looking group that came back to Boulder after the weekend. The Black and Gold Spring Game will be at Folsom Field on Saturday, April 27th.

Jones will have three years of eligibility remaining on the books starting next year.
