Colorado's Jordan Seaton named team captain for UA Next All-America Game

Jordan Seaton will represent the Colorado Buffaloes at this year's Under Armour Next All-America Game. The consensus five-star offensive lineman was named as one of five captains for Team Ice on Friday.

A major accomplishment to cap off his transition period to Colorado. The top signee shocked the world by committing to Deion Sanders and the Buffaloes last week. He initially took CU off his final list but stayed tied to the program.

Seaton is touted as a generational talent and fielded several offers from top Power Five schools, including Alabama, Ohio State, Oregon, and Tennessee. He reportedly turned down a "multi-million" dollar offer from the Vols before heading to Colorado, sources told BuffsBeat. WBIR TV also reported that IMG Academy's lineman turned down a significant offer with a "seven-figure" price tag

The 6-foot-5, 300-pound Seaton has built a relationship with Shedeur Sanders and they're ready to get to work for 2024. He has described CU's "Grown" QB into a Heisman contender next year and is excited to be protecting him. Seaton is the Buffs third five-star talent since Coach Prime came to Boulder last year. Travis Hunter transferred from Jackson State as a top talent last year. The Paul Hornung Award winner was joined by Cormani McClain, who came to Boulder as the top ten recruit.

Seaton was expected to be joined by his CU teammate, Brandon Davis-Swain, on the Ice team but Michigan's all-time sack leader will not be allowed to attend the game due to injury.

The UA Next All-America Game kicks off from Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla. on Jan. 3 at 4 p.m. ET with coverage on ESPN.
