Colorado's two-way player was taken out of Saturday's Rocky Mountain showdown against CSU at halftime. He took a cheap shot to the abdomen from the Rams DB Henry Blackburn late in the first quarter. Hunter re-entered the game with discomfort and was taken to the hospital.

Deion Sanders confirmed in his postgame press conference that Hunter would be out of CU's lineup for a couple weeks. He also said they would know more in the coming days. It's a significant blow for the Buffaloes who enter a brutal stretch to open the Pac-12 schedule.

Hunter was the hero of CU's upset win at TCU. An immediate game-changer on the field in several ways. He left the Rocky Mountain Showdown with two catches for 21 yards.

No. 18 Colorado travels to Oregon for a meeting with the Ducks. Another nationally-featured game for Sanders and the Buffs. A 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff on ABC.
