Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes have started rebuilding the roster in a short amount of time. It started a day after the season ended, and the work hasn't stopped since. Coach Prime secured the sixteenth transfer player on Tuesday night with Pitt defensive lineman Samuel Okunlola announcing he was coming to Boulder.

With most of CU's portal targets secured, Sanders teased how early Signing Day might go for the Buffs on Wednesday. He gave a hint that a few flips could be in order.

"You might see a surprise or two that you're gonna say. "Wow, they are building something special," Sanders said via an AP interview.

Colorado's 2024 recruiting class consists of nine players from four states. A total that seems low, but Coach Prime took a "quality over quantity" approach with four players in the top 100 recruits nationally, including five-star top offensive lineman Jordan Seaton. An even mix of five on defense and four on offense for the Buffs, who are currently ranked 21st going into the signing period.

Sanders and his staff have eyes on a couple of recruits who could be coming to Boulder as a late addition. Blue chip four-star offensive lineman JacQawn McRoy took an official visit to see Prime eariler this month. The Oregon commit from Pinson (Ala.) put on a show at the state championship game. He would be a great asset for the Buffs, especially after losing Matthew Bedford to the Ducks.

Colorado has a good amount of talent riding into next year. It's not the roster overhaul from a year ago, but still key for the Buffs' success going to the Big 12.
