Jordan Domineck says Colorado must break the habit of second half rallies

In this story:
We're halfway through the college football regular season and nobody expected the Colorado Buffaloes to be a four-win team. It's an outstanding accomplishment for Deion Sanders and his staff, but they're not happy with how those wins have been pulled down.
The victory at Arizona State was no exception. Colorado kept the game close and needed a late spark from Shedeur Sanders, which allowed a 43-yard game-winning field goal from Alejandro Mata. Coach Prime expected more from his team and said it was a 'Hot Garbage' win after the game.
Colorado linebacker Jordan Domineck was asked by Nick Ferguson on BuffsBeat Weekly if he had more confidence knowing the team can pull out a win.
"For me personally, that doesn't give me confidence," Domineck said."If I can do it in the second half, why can't we do it in the first half?" That's our whole philosophy right now. Yes, we're a second half team, and a lot of people think we that as,'Oh, we have a chance to comeback in the second half'. We take it more so as we're so bad we're only a one-half team."
Colorado fell short of pulling off a miraculous second half comeback against USC two weeks ago. It got interesting when Shedeur Sanders got hot and starting distributing the ball all over the field. It could've worked for them, but going into halftime down by 20 points worked against them.
"We know what we can do and we show ourselves in the second half," Domineck admitted. "Why can we start fast in the first half?"
It has become a point of emphasis for the Buffs this week in practice. Colorado went into Arizona State wanting to fire off right out the gate and didn't. Now, they'll try again against Stanford at home. It's a matchup with all the makings of a complete victory for the Buffs. Let's see if Coach Prime guide his team with four complete quarters.
