Jordan Seaton says another school asked if he wanted to "be a rapper" after committing to Deion Sanders and Colorado

Buffaloes five-star offensive lineman went into detail about the negative recruiting aimed at Coach Prime
In this story:

The Jordan Seaton saga seemed like a crazy rollercoaster ride over the past several weeks, but there are a lot of details that happened behind-the-scenes we're just now discovering. Colorado's highest-rated offensive lineman was asked about his dealings with other schools at media day for UA's Next All-America Game on Friday. He talked about the negative recruiting and what some of them were saying to persuade him to leave Deion Sanders and the Buffs.

"This was the most famous one I got," Seaton said. "It was like "What do you want to be a rapper or something?" I'm like...Hey... *Laughing*… I get what you're saying, but... bro... There was a lot of negative recruiting (at Coach Prime). I feel like some people don't understand that he's only had... He's only been there for what... Has it been a year yet? It's been a year. The turnaround that program has from 1-11 to 4-8... to see that is cool."

Seaton also applauded Sanders for the way he leveled with him during his recruitment. He said Coach Prime was the most "personable" coach he has ever met, which isn't a surprise in the slightest. Colorado was ruled out of the top five but ended up being the new home for the IMG Academy five-star recruit. He did mention that Alabama and Tennessee were in the runner-up position in no particular order.

One of the most interesting factors for Seaton coming to Colorado will be having San Francisco 49ers offensive lineman Trent Williams training the Buffs incoming freshman. He called the 14-year NFL vet a "mentor" in his development. The influence of Williams, along with the coaching tips of Hall-of-Fame Warren Sapp will give Seaton a different perspective of the game. It's just another level of the 'Prime Effect' in Boulder.

Seaton will be featured as a captain for Team Ice at UA's Next All-America Game. The All-Star affair will be held on Jan 3 at 4 p.m. ET with coverage on ESPN.
