Three takeaways from No. 18 Colorado's comeback win over CSU

In this story:
Colorado was taken to the wire by Colorado State on Saturday night. A hard fought battle with Prime's Army coming out on top with a 43-35 win. Here are three takeaways from the Buffs outstanding win.
Shedeur Sanders came to play once again
The Buffaloes QB had a third straight game with 300+ yards and three scores. It looked rough for Sanders in the early going, but down the stretch he made the most of his opportunities. He threw his first interception of the season on a wild play, which should've been ruled a completion to Jimmy Horn Jr and down by contact. Other than a fluke, Sanders was mistake-free and had a lot of poise in the pocket.
Buffs defense was loves winning the turnover battle
Shilo Sanders had an 80-yard foot race pick-six to start the game for the Buffs. The outstanding display of pure athleticism was topped off with a Sanders shuffle in the end zone. It was the first of three picks on the night for CU's defense. The final play of the game featured Trevor Wood haul in a game-winning interception. A third week Colorado has fought hard to win on takeaways. Hopefully, the Buffaloes can string together a bit of success with Travis Hunter sidelined the next few weeks.
One of the most entertaining Rocky Mountain Showdowns on record
Anyone who left with CU down 11 in the fourth quarter missed a great finish. This was hands down one of the best rivalry games. The back and forth atmosphere was great to see with CSU showing their true colors after the blowout loss to Washington State. I love the campus feel with everybody shoulder to shoulder in the stands. However, with the addition of Coach Prime, this rivalry needs to move back to Denver.
Colorado hits the road to open Pac-12 play. A 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff from Autzen Stadium on ABC.
