Top storylines before No. 19 Colorado vs. No. 10 Oregon

In this story:
The 19th-ranked Colorado Buffaloes have another road test with 10th-ranked Oregon on Saturday. The Pac-12 opener with both teams wanting to prove a point. Can Deion Sanders take his team to a perfect 4-0 on the season? Here's are four storyline prior to Top 25 matchup from Autzen Stadium.
Prime Parking
A Well Off video was posted yesterday showed Coach Prime received a parking violation before leaving to Eugene on Thursday.
BuffsBeat reached out to Boulder's Chief of Police for comment. While they didn’t respond directly, a university spokesperson said via email that they couldn’t confirm the location of the vehicle, when it happened, or even what violation occurred. That's strange considering the amount of people driving a Lambo around Boulder.
I mean, really, how many Lamborghinis were ticketed on campus in the last week? And are we really saying that we cannot identify the location? It’s right outside Coach Prime’s office. What does this mean for today?
It will be interesting to see if this comes up in CU's postgame press conference with Coach Prime. Either way, this was a missed opportunity by campus police to poke a little fun at the situation.
Nick Williams is taking it personal against Oregon
We are speculating on this one but this is far from the dreaded “fake news.”
In this case, a current head coach majorly disrespected Colorado’s defensive line coach. It happened while he was a graduate assistant at the University of Georgia.
We’re not saying explicitly that it was Dan Lanning who treated Coach Williams poorly. But what we do know is that the coach in question was part of the Georgia's staff under Kirby Smart in 2019. We also know they currently coach at a school in the Power Five. Looking over the Georgia coaching roster from that year, I’m only seeing Shane Beamer and Dan Lanning as possibilities.
Coach Williams said he couldn’t wait to look this coach in the eye and shake their hand. They lit a fire under him. Like last week with Coach Norvell, we better keep the cameras rolling through the handshakes in Eugene as well.
Dan Lanning takes a shot at Bucky, Darius and Uncle Neely?
This one is just plain weird. “At the end of the day, YouTube videos aren’t going to win football games,” said Dan Lanning via Sirius XM. It was so unnecessary, and of course, soon afterwards the radio host said he was referring to his players making videos, not anyone from Deion Sanders' camp. Yeah, right. Just like he meant no disrespect when he questioned what Colorado had even won in the Pac-12.
Let's see if this becomes a motivating factor for the Buffs.
Can Trevor Woods and Michael Harrison continue their dominance?
There’s not many players on this team who were here in 2022. In fact, nine of them to be exact. Woods and Harrison have more than earned their scholarships. It's something Harrison has earned, but doesn’t currently even have.
These two players have made game changing plays in each of the three victories. What will they do next?
Colorado and Oregon face off for the final time as Pac-12 Conference foes on Saturday. A 3:30 p.m. ET affair on ABC.
