Walter Taylor will soon be in Boulder as part of a growing quarterback room. The former Vanderbilt passer made it official on Sunday by announcing he would be joining Coach Prime's Buffaloes.

The 6-foot-7, 230-pounder from Jackson, Ala. was an original four-star recruit to Vandy in 2022. Taylor is noted as a pro-style quarterback who had limited experience with the Commodores this season. He was primarily used as a rusher with 30 carries for 103 yards and a touchdown in five games.

Taylor took his dual-threat talents to Nashville with an impressive prep resume. He accounted for 4,018 yards and 51 total touchdowns as a senior, earning Alabama Sports Writers Association honors. The No. 20 QB in the nation, according to 247Sports.

Taylor is the second Vandy player to transfer to CU. Will Sheppard announced he was coming to Boulder earlier this week. The duo will grow together in Pat Shurmur's offensive attack. It adds depth for CU's quarterback situation, which was tested greatly when Shedeur Sanders went down with a fractured back.

The 13th player to join Colorado during the transfer portal window. Taylor comes to Boulder with three years of eligibility remaining.
