Former Duke basketball guard wins G League Player of the Week

In this story:
The 2022-23 season is the first that Frank Jackson hasn't been on an NBA roster since turning pro in 2017 following a one-and-done Duke basketball campaign. But the 24-year-old guard is starring in the G League for the Salt Lake City Stars (9-8).
Jackson is the most recent G League Player of the Week after averaging 27.3 points and 4.0 assists while shooting 59.0 percent from the field and 48.1 percent beyond the arc across three Stars wins last week.

And he is one of the 24 selected players to participate in the G League Next Up Game as part of NBA All-Star Weekend in Salt Lake City. That exhibition tips off at 3 p.m. ET on Feb. 19, five hours before the NBA All-Star Game, and will air on NBATV.

After going No. 31 overall at the 2017 NBA Draft, Frank Jackson sat out his first year with the New Orleans Pelicans due to a foot injury. He then played 120 games across two seasons in New Orleans, averaging 7.2 points, before signing a two-year contract with the Detroit Pistons, where he averaged 10.2 points in 93 outings.
Of all the former Duke basketball players on the outside of the NBA looking in, one could say Jackson has the best chance of being in the league next season.
