Duke Basketball: Yet Another Top Five Talent Lands Blue Devil Offer

Duke basketball has notably high ambitions for its 2025 recruiting efforts.

Last week, between his productive performances for Georgia Stars at Peach Jam in North Augusta, S.C., Holy Innocents Episcopal (Ga.) power forward Caleb Wilson listed the Duke basketball program among newly interested parties.

One week later and the 6-foot-9, 200-pound five-star, No. 5 overall on the 247Sports 2025 Composite, is officially on the 2025 wishlist of the Blue Devils, he tweeted on Tuesday night.

Wilson, who averaged 16.9 points and 9.9 rebounds at Peach Jam, is the fifth in the class to earn an offer from Duke basketball head coach Jon Scheyer. He's the third in the top five, along with Christopher Columbus (Fla.) five-star power forward Cameron Boozer (No. 1) and Montverde (Fla.) five-star small forward Cooper Flagg (No. 2).

A consistently aggressive force, the long-limbed Caleb Wilson now boasts offers from bluebloods UNC, Kentucky, and Duke, all of which he picked up within the past two months.

Here's On3's scouting report on Wilson:

"Caleb Wilson has a great frame, good length, and natural pop. He plays really well in a phone booth, efficient movements in tight spaces, shows the footwork to shake free with the ball in the halfcourt. He needs to continue getting stronger, which will help his base and balance. He is explosive around the basket, has go-to comfort over his left shoulder with patience. He can push the break and plays with pace. He has a vast array of offensive moves, at multiple levels."

Outside the top five, Scheyer's other two offers in the 2025 recruiting arena are to Lincoln Park (Pa.) five-star point guard Meleek Thomas (No. 7) and newly minted five-star combo guard Cayden Boozer (No. 21), Cameron's twin brother and teammate.

None of the five 2025 Duke basketball targets have committed anywhere, nor have any revealed finalists at this relatively early juncture in the cycle.
