Duke Basketball: Confident Texas Prep Wants to Hear From Blue Devils

In this story:
Lake Travis (Texas) wing Hudson Greer, whose springy step, self-assured slashing, and silky shooting bring to mind Duke basketball great Grayson Allen, ranks No. 54 overall on the 247Sports 2025 Composite and will likely soon rise. He holds offers from Alabama, Cal, Kansas State, Saint Louis, SMU, Texas, Texas Tech, and UCLA.
And according to national recruiting insider Andrew Slater, the 6-foot-6, 180-pound four-star, last week's Pangos All-American Camp Underclass MVP in Las Vegas, hopes to land on the radar of two bonafide bluebloods in the Blue Devils and Jayhawks.

"For sure, Kansas and Duke, as just like a dream thing," Greer recently confirmed to Pro Insight's Tyler Glazier about his offer wishlist.
College basketball is in Greer's bloodline, as his father, Josh Greer, was a starting forward for the St. Mary's Gaels a quarter-century ago, averaging double-digit points as a senior in 1999-00.
Hudson Greer's ceiling appears significantly higher.
After watching him play in Las Vegas, On3's Jamie Shaw came away impressed, providing the following summary of Greer's electrifying skills:
"One look on the court for a Hudson Greer game, and it was easy to see him playing high above the rim. [He] was able to showcase his explosiveness early and often throughout camp, making above-the-rim plays in transition and in the halfcourt. His ability at the rim was part of the reason why he shot 62 percent from the field in the camp. The other part of that was that he also shot over 40 percent from three."
Second-year Duke basketball head coach Jon Scheyer has offers out to four 2025 recruits: five-star power forward Cameron Boozer, five-star small forward Cooper Flagg, five-star point guard Meleek Thomas, and four-star combo guard Cayden Boozer.
