Columbus High School (Fla.) juniors Cameron and Cayden Boozer recently took an official visit to Durham. They watched the Duke basketball team lose to Arizona in Cameron Indoor Stadium, the place Cameron Boozer, a versatile forward who ranks No. 2 overall on the 247Sports 2025 Composite, is named after.

But they've both insisted the Blue Devils aren't necessarily frontrunners for their five-star services.

Other big-time programs are in play, including fellow blueblood recruiting powerhouse Kentucky. They visited the Wildcats. They've also visited home-state hopefuls Miami and Florida, and they hold offers from several others, including a few more from the ACC in Florida State and UNC.

On Wednesday, Rivals national recruiting insider Rob Cassidy stacked up the top four contenders to land the Boozer twins, sons of former Duke basketball national champ and two-time NBA All-Star forward Carlos Boozer (keep in mind there's no guarantee they will end up at the same school).

Cassidy opines that it'd be foolish not to put the Blue Devils on top:

"People in the Boozer camp will go to great lengths to convince everyone the talented twins are not locks to land at their famous father's alma mater, and they may well be correct. That said, the Blue Devils need to be seen as the leader until there's real reason to believe that they are running behind...Anyone portraying Duke as anything less than the frontrunner at this juncture is a poor handicapper."

Next, Cassidy lists Miami, noting the university's proximity to the Boozers' home and the Hurricanes' success in landing premier talent in the NIL era.

Then, there is Kentucky, as Cassidy pointed out that "ruling John Calipari out of high-profile recruitments is never wise" due to his proven track record in producing top-shelf NBA players.

And at No. 4 is Florida. However, Cassidy referred to the Gators as "a long shot."

Cayden Boozer, a slick guard who boasts a No. 17 composite ranking in the class, and Cameron Boozer are among nine 2025 recruits holding an offer from Duke basketball head coach Jon Scheyer and his staff.

None of those nine have either committed to the Blue Devils or publicly eliminated them from contention.

Meanwhile, the Duke basketball recruiters enjoy a five-deep, top-ranked collection on the 2024 recruiting trail.
