GAINESVILLE, Fla.-- The Florida Gators on Tuesday kicked off its first spring camp under new head coach Jon Sumrall, during which various players were seen participating at various levels due to injury.

After practice, Sumrall detailed 12 players who are injured to start camp, five of whom are out for the entirety of camp due to preexisting injuries: defensive lineman Kendall Guervil (ACL from high school), defensive lineman Jalen Wiggins (hip), corner CJ Bronaugh (shoulder from high school), offensive lineman Chancellor Campbell (knee) and offensive lineman Daniel Pierre Louis (hip).

Of note, redshirt freshman receiver Dallas Wilson was absent from practice as he continues to rehab the foot injury that ended his 2025 season. Sumrall explained that Wilson would be available to play if they had a game this week, but they are currently keeping him from practicing out of "an abundance of caution."

"If we had a game this week, if we're playing a game, he's practicing," Sumrall said. "But I've got a pretty good pulse of what he's about and what kind of player he is, so we're going to be smart tough there, not dumb tough."

Sumrall added that Wilson, a five-star recruit in the 2025 recruiting class, participated in offseason workouts, including the Gauntlet. He did experience a flare-up during a workout, but imaging revealed no serious or structural injury.

Additionally, defensive contributors Kamran James (shoulder), Myles Graham (shoulder) and Dijon Johnson (knee) were listed by Sumrall. James, one of Florida's headliners on the defensive front, participated in drills but was in a non-contact jersey. Sumrall said James will participate a lot in camp but will likely not get a lot of contact.

Graham, meanwhile, was seen doing rehab work in the indoor practice facility away from his position unit. He will be non-contact the entire spring, Sumrall said.

"He'll be able to do a little bit more as spring goes, but there will be no 11-on-11 tackle football for Myles," Sumrall said. "We've seen him play, I want to see some other guys."

Johnson is coming off a season-ending ACL injury from last season, and while he was absent from practice, Sumrall said he is in "return to play" protocol.

"Should have an opportunity to do more as spring proceeds," Sumrall said.

Florida's full injury report, based on what Sumrall said and what Florida Gators on SI saw at practice, can be found below. The Gators will return to the practice field on Thursday morning, with media invited to cover another 40-minute period of practice, before holding a coaches/players post-practice press conference.
