In FSU’s 38-20 win over No. 16 Duke, Travis, a redshirt senior from West Palm Beach, Florida, completed 75 percent of his passes with a career-high 27 completions, 268 passing yards and two passing touchdowns. On the ground, Travis added a season-high 62 rushing yards with a two-yard touchdown that gave Florida State the lead in the fourth quarter. Travis’s touchdown run also made him the Seminoles’ all-time total offense leader, passing 2000 Heisman Trophy winner Chris Weinke.

Travis completed touchdown passes to running backs Caziah Holmes and Lawrance Toafili, and has accounted for multiple touchdowns in 14 consecutive games, the longest streak in FSU history and the longest active streak in the nation.

The Seminoles outscored Duke 31-3 to close the game Saturday, sparked by Spann’s 99-yard kickoff return touchdown in the second quarter. The touchdown was FSU’s first on special teams this season and was just the second career kickoff return from Spann.

Spann’s kickoff return is the fifth longest in FSU history, behind four 100-yard returns.

Spann is FSU’s second consecutive Special Teams Player of the Week. Punt returner Keon Coleman earned the honor last week when he became the second player in school history with 100 receiving yards and 100 punt return yards in the same game.

Travis was previously named the ACC Quarterback of the Week after FSU’s 45-24 win over No. 5 LSU to begin the season. FSU has earned 11 player of the week awards this season.

No. 4 Florida State improved to 7-0 overall and 5-0 in the ACC in the win over Duke, the Seminoles best start since 2014. FSU begins a two-game road stretch Saturday at Wake Forest (ABC, 12:00 PM).
