The No. 4 Florida State Seminoles will be on the road this weekend headed to Clemson, South Carolina, to take on the Clemson Tigers inside Memorial Stadium. The 'Noles are coming off a near-upset last weekend after edging by in a 31-29 win over Boston College.

Florida State At Clemson: Tuesday Practice Observations

FSU was back out on the practice fields Tuesday, and star defensive end Jared Verse met with the media to discuss his season, the response after Boston College, and what he expects from the Tigers this Saturday.

"It's been a whole turnaround from last week. You know, we didn't go in there playing how we want to play at all. We didn't get fast, (it) wasn't physical, we did everything wrong that could possibly go wrong, and still came out with a victory," Verse said. "So, that was just detrimental to our mental, you know, being the top team we think we are and then playing like that. But then, Sunday, we came in, and everybody had a purpose. We were moving around fast; we were moving around physical."

Death Valley is notorious for being one of the loudest stadiums in college football, and Tiger fans will be rampant as Clemson is still eager to show the country who they are after losing to No. 18 Duke in Week 1. Verse said he's ready for the environment.

"I mean, I heard about the environment. I heard it was a hostile environment; it's the loudest, they get physical. I'm excited for it; this is what I came here for."

Putting last week's lackluster second-half performance behind them will be crucial for Florida State's success on the road. It's all smiles and excitement in the locker room as the 'Noles are eager for a chance to clear the losing streak against the Tigers.

"Oh yeah, I ain't gonna lie. Like, we walked on Sunday, we met everything like that. We got rid of the Boston College film, moved on from that, and everybody's talking about Clemson. You see people smiling, all excited for it; they're talking about the environment, Death Valley, everything like that," Verse said. "And I'm hyped up for it; I ain't never been there. I heard it was a fun thing to do, so I'm hyped."

Verse goes in-depth on Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik, running back Will Shipley, and more in his full interview below.
