Former Florida State running back and the Seminoles’ all-time rushing leader is looking for a new home. Since Dalvin Cook was released by the Minnesota Vikings, he’s now able to choose his next destination as a free agent.
Cook is coming off his healthiest season since entering the league, playing and starting in all 17 games for the Vikings. He amassed 1,173 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns on the season.
Now, having been released, Cook will be able to take his talents to his preferred team with an idea of how he can contribute to said team.

Cook recently appeared on the Rich Eisen Show, and let fans in on the free agency process for himself.
“Whoever gets Dalvin Cook, they know who they’re getting,” Cook said on the show. “You know what you’re getting out of me.”
When asked about the free agency process so far, he stated that it “kind of feels like a video game” and compared it to creating a team in his Madden Franchise league.
“I’ve been having a lot of people reach out to me this past week, these past few months,” Cook said.
It’s no secret that teams are going to want Cook. He’s been selected for the Pro Bowl for four straight seasons, which is every Pro Bowl since he was upgraded to a full-time starter for the Vikings.
“I want the value. I want someone that values Dalvin Cook. I want someone that wants me to be there and wants to give me the ball,” Cook said of where his head is at while looking for his next team. “I just want to go into the right situation so I can go help somebody win.”
If Cook is going to maximize his money and role in the offense, it may be difficult for him to find a team that’s going to be able to compete for a Super Bowl. If he’s willing to sacrifice some money, he will be able to look into teams like the Miami Dolphins or the Buffalo Bills, two teams that need his services to help get to the next level to be able to compete for a championship.
In the end, Cook is looking for a destination that “feels like home.”
There will be plenty of teams wanting the services and value Cook can provide, so it’s up to him to make the best decision for his career.
