It sounds like the Seminoles have work to do in this recruitment.

Florida State hosted a plethora of prospects for unofficial visits in January. The Seminoles held three Junior Days and also had recruits on campus on multiple other days in an effort to further relationships on the trail.

On the final day prior to the NCAA dead period, four-star wide receiver and Georgia commitment Ny Carr arrived in Tallahassee for an unofficial visit alongside a couple of coaches and teammates from his high school. The visit came in the days following Carr picking up an offer from the Seminoles.

Coming out of the trip, Carr vowed to return to FSU in the spring and noted the program as a possible destination for an Official Visit while hinting that his pledge was open.

"My recruitment is open, so I am just looking for a home, looking for a place to be," Carr said previously to NoleGameday.

Over the last couple of weeks, it's become apparent that Carr's mindset has shifted.

On Tuesday evening, he announced on social media that he was shutting his recruitment down and is all in with the Bulldogs.

"I would like to say thank you for all the schools who are recruiting me but I'm shutting down my recruitment. I'm 100 percent locked in the Dawgs."

It's important to note that it's still only February and Carr's already changed his mind twice in about four weeks. He could always reverse his decision and visit other schools, which seems like the most probable outcome at this time.

Carr was impressed by Florida State's ten-win campaign and the development of the wide receivers last year. He met extensively with position coach Ron Dugans.

"They played great. I talked to Coach Dugans, I told him I liked the way that he recruits his players," Carr said. "He gets different types of personalities out of all his players and they are different types of players, so that is what I like being around, like different people, different in their own ways, go out there and be playmakers, be ballers. I enjoyed that."

The Seminoles already have two wide receivers committed in their 2024 class - four-star legacy Camdon Frier and four-star speedster TJ Abrams.

FSU is involved with some of the top wide receivers in the country and a couple of them are planning to be on campus in March, including five-star Jeremiah Smith and four-star James Madison.
