Legacy Four-Star Wide Receiver Camdon Frier Officially Signs With Florida State

Legacy commit, and now Florida State Seminole Camdon Frier made it official and put pen to paper on Wednesday when he signed with the 'Noles. Frier is a four-star recruit out of Columbia High and was heavily recruited by head coach Mike Norvell and receivers coach Ron Dugans.

He's been committed since January of 2022 and has been heavily involved in helping FSU assemble Tribe24. Currently, Florida State holds 23 commitments in its 2024 class, which ranks No. 4 overall in the country according to 247Sports.

"There's nothing like it. You don't get—when your head coach walks there with you the whole time, fired up the whole time," Frier said about Norvell and staff on a visit in June. "He's not all stuck up like that. He's being real with you. All the coaches are like that, from coach Norvell all the way down to the interns; they all treat you like family."

The talented wide receiver out of Lake City, FL, finished his senior season with 456 yards and five touchdowns on 33 receptions, according to MaxPreps.com. He is listed as the 80th wide receiver nationally and the 69th player overall in Florida.

Norvell is known for crosstraining players at multiple positions, which will be no different for the incoming freshman.

"He says he doesn't want me to be in one spot," Frier said. "He wants me to be everywhere. He wants me to be at every position at receiver."

Frier will be joining two family alumni who played at FSU. Both Frier's dad, Matt Frier (1989-1993), and uncle, Todd Frier (1995-1999), played on Florida State National Championship teams (1993 and 1999).

The dual-sport athlete chose FSU over Alabama, Kentucky, Texas A&M, and UCF.
