Goals for Georgia in Final Week of Spring Practice

As the final week of spring practices begin, here are a few goals the Georgia Bulldogs as they close out their spring camp.

The Georgia Bulldogs began their final spring practices this week as they prepare for their annual G-Day scrimmage this Saturday. With spring camp winding down and the 2024 season inching closer each day, here are a few final goals for the Dawgs to hit as they finish of their spring season.

Continue to Avoid Injuries

By now, emphasis on the avoidance of injuries and maintaining the health of the roster may seem redundant. But it is one of the most important inhibitors to any team’s success. Luckily for Georgia, the Dawgs have avoided any major injuries during this year’s spring camp and would love to keep it that way as they approach G-day.

Find the Leaders

Any successful team in the history of sports has always required at least one or sometimes multiple leaders to keep a team focused and disciplined. The Bulldogs are no different as they have had numerous high-quality leaders over the past few years. The departures of previous leaders such as Brock Bowers, Javon Bullard, and others has provided an opportunity for many players to cement themselves as leaders for this year’s Bulldogs team. This last week of spring could solidify who those leaders will be.

Continue to Iron Out the Depth Chart

While there will still be plenty of time to work the kinks out on what rotations will be after spring ends. Kirby Smart and staff would likely to prefer to have an idea of “who’s who” by the time G-Day is all wrapped up. Particularly at places such as STAR, cornerback, and wide receiver.

Discover Winning Football Players

At the beginning of Georgia’s spring camp, head coach Kirby Smart stated that the main goal of the team was to “expand our roster of winning football players”. With spring coming to a close and the ultimate scrimmage this Saturday, Georgia will now have to see which players have developed and shown that they can play “winning football” when it matters most.
