Not only does Georgia have former players who spent their entire college careers representing them at the NFL combine this week, but they also have some old faces who started as a Bulldog but would later transfer out. Former Alabama wide receiver Jermaine Burton is one of those players and he talked about his time spent with both programs and his relationship with the Georgia fan base.

Burton mentioned that he was able to catch up with some old teammates of his like Ladd McConkey, Adonai Mithcell and Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint. All of course names he played with at Georgia. Burton said it was, "just like old times," running into them.

He also discussed what the differences were between playing at Georgia vs Alabama. Burton mentioned that structure and discipline were two big takeaways for him during his time in Athens, but Kirby Smart and Nick Saban are both great leaders and coaches. Here is a portion of Burton's interview at the combine on Friday:

Despite Burton having spent two years at the University of Georgia, the relationship didn't exactly end on great terms if you were to ask the fan base. After the 2023 SEC Championship game, the Alabama wide receiver got his bragging rights in over Dawg Nation. But during his interview, Burton said that he was, "Just pretty much having fun with the fans, that's pretty much all that is."
