Six Bulldogs Tabbed as Top Prospects for 2025 NFL Draft Class

Six current Georgia Bulldogs have been labeled as top prospects for the 2025 NFL draft class.

NFL organizations are currently locked in on the 2024 NFL draft class and figuring out the prospects they want to target on this year's board. However, there is a litany of NFL-caliber players still in college football, as per usual, and the Georgia Bulldogs have quite a few of them according to one sports media outlet.

ESPN's Matt Miller released an article that lists the top prospects for the 2025 NFL draft class and six Bulldogs ended up making the cut. Kirby Smart and his football program have become one of the premier destinations when it comes to player development, and the 2024 class along with the 2025 class is showing why.

Miller's list starts with returning quarterback Carson Beck being one of three top prospects at the position. Beck was stellar in his first season as the Bulldogs' starter as he finished with the third most passing yards in the country while also throwing for 24 touchdowns and just six interceptions. The Georgia starter could have entered the draft this year but elected to return for another season in the red and black, and could very end up being the top quarterback in next year's draft class.

The next Bulldog on the list was one of Georgia's portal acquisitions from this offseason, running back Trevor Etienne. The Bulldogs needed some depth in the running back room as Daijun Edwards and Kendall Milton both declared for the draft this year so they tapped into Florida's program and snagged Etienne. If he does end up being one of the top prospects at the running back position by the end of next season, Georgia will be more than pleased with what they got out of him, even if it is just for one season.

Two of Georgia's offensive linemen also made the list and one of them is a name that enough people probably aren't talking about. Miller tabbed offensive guard Dylan Fairchild onto the short list of interior offensive line prospects while pinning Georgia veteran Tate Ratledge as a "sleeper". Fairchild was one of several offensive that was rotated throughout the season and was mightily impressive. Ratledge was another player who elected to return for another season as the team's starting right guard and could certainly play his way into a top offensive line prospect by next spring.

Flipping over to the defensive side of the football, there was one name that shouldn't be a surprise to anyone and another who wasn't there but probably should have been. Nazir Stackhouse made the list of defensive tackles as he announced his return for another which Miller notes surprised some people considering he was getting "top-50 buzz" before last season.

Later on down the list was safety Malaki Starks who has future first-rounder written all over him. He has been a massive contributor for the Bulldogs on defense since starting as a true freshman and will certainly continue that status through 2024. Miller mentioned that Starks is rated as the top returning safety in college football.

As for the name that was not mentioned on the list but has an argument to at least be labeled as a sleeper is linebacker Smale Mondon. Members of the Georgia community were surprised to see reports that the veteran linebacker was electing to return for another season, and he will play a major role on Georgia's defense as a third-year starter.
