As NFL free agency slows down and we get a clearer look at the makeup of rosters, positional needs for team drafting in the first round of the upcoming NFL Draft are a little bit easier to see.

For former Georgia players preparing for the draft, like Brock Bowers and Amarius Mims, that gives them a better idea of potential landing spots. Per ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr., multiple former Bulldogs will go in the first round.

Kiper has Bowers going at 10th to the New York Jets to pair up with Aaron Rodgers. He'd be an instant upgrade for an offense that's sorely making. As for Amarius Mims, Kiper has the massive tackle projected to go at 30 to the Baltimore Ravens to help protect Lamar Jackson. Mims would join fellow Bulldogs Roquan Smith, Nick Moore, and Ben Cleveland in Baltimore.

There's another former Bulldog projected to be in the top 32 as well per Kiper, though some Georgia fans will have mixed feelings. At No. 32, Kiper has Kansas City selecting Texas receiver Adonai Mitchell. Mitchell, of course, spent his first couple of seasons of college football at Georgia, where he came up with some program-changing postseason catches, before transferring to Texas prior to the 2023 season. Though Mitchell is officially a Texas player, he'll always be a Georgia legend. He caught a touchdown pass in all four of his College Football Playoff appearances for Georgia, including the game-winner against Ohio State in 2022 and the National Championship-winner against Alabama in 2021.

If this projection holds true, it'd be alright to claim three Georgia players in the first round.
