Where Will 2025 Recruit Carter Lowe Commit?

The 2025 recruiting cycle is heating up, and the Georgia Bulldogs are in the mix for 2025 offensive tackle Carter Lowe.

Although the 2024 recruiting cycle doesn't officially close until National Signing Day in early February, many programs, such as the Georgia Bulldogs, have already moved on to their 2025 recruiting class. One of the nation's top offensive tackles will be making his verbal commitment this Saturday and has included Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Michigan, and Ohio State in his top five. So, where will four-star Carter Lowe commit to?

Lowe spent the fall using up his official visits, taking his first one with the Alabama Crimson Tide when they hosted the Texas Longhorns. Alabama did not win that game and has since had Nick Saban retire and multiple decommitments/transfers. Regarding Lowe, don't expect him to head to Tuscaloosa, AL.

His last visit was spent in Knoxville, TN, when Georgia came to town to take on the Tennessee Volunteers. The Vols did just land one of 2025's top quarterbacks in George MacIntyre, and they would be looking to beef up their offensive line to protect him when Nico Iamaleava departs for the NFL. Though Josh Heupel has done well making Tennessee into one of the premier programs to land big recruits, they likely miss out on Lowe as well.

Although Lowe's high school has the same base color scheme as the Michigan Wolverines, his ties could lay elsewhere. It is very impressive how Michigan accomplished an undefeated national championship season. The uncertainty about what Jim Harbaugh will do with his career is enough to drive any recruit away.

The two schools that seem to be in the lead for Lowe's recruitment are Georgia and Ohio State. He was in Athens when Georgia put on a slugfest against Ole Miss and likely sees how Georgia loaded their offensive tackle class in 2024. That being said, the Toledo, Ohio native is just 2 1/2 hours away from Columbus and would be committing to a program that has been on fire with the recruiting trail recently. With five crystal ball predictions from 247Sports employees that all expect him to land with the Buckeyes.

Ultimately, Lowe is one of the few people who truly knows where he will be verbally committing. The nation's No. 9 rated offensive tackle will announce his commitment this Saturday at 2:55 p.m. EST.
