The Georgia Bulldogs lost their 4th game in 5 matchups tonight as they were decimated by the Auburn Tigers 94-73. Despite defeating the Tigers earlier in January by nearly 20 points, the Bulldogs seemed to be outmatched in nearly every aspect of the game.

The Tigers led the majority of the 1st half behind a domineering performance from Johni Broome who had a double-double just 17 minutes into the game. His five 1st half offensive rebounds allowed for the Tigers to get a handful of 2nd chance shots and go on a 17 point run. The damage was seemingly done as Georgia trailed 42-24 at the half.

While the Bulldogs shot more efficiently in the 2nd half, the Tiger's offensive rhythm and big lead from the 1st half had already put the game out of reach. A slew of 3-pointers and more dominance in the paint allowed for the Tigers to stretch their lead to 20-plus. With about 9 minutes to go in the game, Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl began to play reserve players and rest starters.

Mardrez McBride was the lone bright spot of Georgia's offensive performance. He led the Bulldogs for the 2nd game in a row with a season high 20 points. Terry Roberts, who scored a career high 26 points in the previous matchup against the Tiger's was held to a season low 7 points.

Johni Broome was the X factor for Auburn tonight. After acquiring a double-double in just the 1st half. He finished with a career high 18 rebounds to go with his 19 points. Wendell Green Jr. and Allen Flanigan were also a major offensive factor with 18 and 22 points respectively.

The Bulldogs will travel to College Station this Saturday to take on the Texas A&M Aggies before returning to Athens to host Ole Miss on Feb. 7th. Georgia is just 1-7 in the previous 8 matchups against the Texas A&M
