Georgia Basketball vs Auburn Preview

The Georgia Bulldogs will travel this Auburn, Alabama this evening to take on the Tiger's for the second time this season.

The Georgia Bulldogs will face the Auburn Tigers on the road tonight. This will be the second matchup between these two teams this season and the 196th meeting all time. Auburn currently leads the series 99-96 and is 3-2 in the previous five matchups.

The Bulldogs won the first matchup of the season in Athens by a score of 76-64. However, they will not be in their home environment for tonight's game and have been inconsistent at best on the road. The Tigers on the other hand, have only lost 2 home games all season.

Georgia is currently 7th in the SEC with a conference record of 4-4. Prior to their overtime victory against South Carolina on Saturday, the Dawgs were on a 3 game losing streak in the SEC. A victory tonight against Auburn would earn Georgia a regular season sweep against the Tiger's, an accomplishment that has not been completed since the 2016-2017 season.

While Terry Roberts currently leads the team in points per game for Georgia, a couple of extremely slow starts has forced the Bulldogs to find offensive production elsewhere in the first half. Mardrez McBride and Jabri Abdur-Rahim have stepped up offensively in a big in the last few games and will likely be major contributors tonight on the road.

Auburn is led by duo Johni Broome and Wendell Green jr. In the previous matchup against the Bulldogs, the duo accounted for 29 of the Tiger's 64 points and 4 out of 6 of the team's steals. They will however, need to have a more robust performance to emerge victorious in their home arena and avoid a sweep.
