Georgia Hires Former Texas A&M Coordinator as Offensive Analyst

The Georgia Bulldogs have reportedly brought in former Texas A&M offensive coordinator Darrell Dickey to serve as an offensive analyst for the 2023 season

In just a few short seasons, Kirby Smart has built the University of Georgia's football program into a juggernaut that has dominated college football for the past two seasons. Though Smart has undoubtedly been the leading factor in UGA's rise the glory. He has also had help from the elite coaching staff that he has assembled over the years.

His latest addition to this coaching staff comes in the form of Darrell Dickey who will be added as an off-field analyst as reported first by DawgsHQ, a longtime college football coach whose experience stretches all the way back to the 1980.

Dickey's most recent coaching stint was with Jimbo Fisher and the Texas A&M Aggies where he acted as the team's offensive coordinator while also juggling quarterback and tight end coaching duties through various years. He was let go by the University near the end of the 2022 season.

This is not the first time that Smart has brought in a former coordinator/head coach as an analyst position. Bulldog fans will remember that the current defensive coordinator Will Muschamp and current offensive coordinator Mike Bobo were both analysts prior to their promotions in recent seasons.
