Tray Scott Wins Rivals Recruiter of the Year

Georgia defensive line coach Tray Scott has been awarded as the Rivals Recruiter of the Year

Behind every successful college football team is an elite recruiting class with super-talented athletes. Behind those recruiting classes, is an all time recruiting staff that works countless hours and travels all across the country to recruit the best talent possible.

Georgia defensive line coach Tray Scott is no exception to this rule. Since his arrival at the University of Georgia in 2017, Scott has helped put together some of the best recruiting classes in Georgia history while also producing multiple 1st round draft picks in the NFL.

Scott's elite efforts on the recruiting trail helped the Bulldogs secure the No.2 recruiting class earned him the 2023 Rivals National Recruiter of the Year award. An award given to the nation's top recruiter for an individual season. He is just the second Georgia staff member to win this award (Dell McGee previously won the award in 2018).

Scott was accredited as one of the leading recruiters behind Georgia's acquisition of 5-star D-linemen Jordan Hall, Damon Wilson, and Samuel M'Pemba. The Bulldogs also gained commitments from a pair of 4-star defensive lineman thanks to his efforts as well.

Scott's abilities to haul in massive star power year after year perfectly personifies how the Georgia Football program has been one of the most dominant in the nation over the past few years and will likely be for many years to come.
