Georgia Recruiting: Get to Know 2025 Wide Receiver CJ Wiley

Get to know Georgia football recruiting target CJ Wiley, a wide receiver in the 2025 recruiting class.

The Georgia Bulldogs are coming off of yet another stellar recruiting class in 2024, but now the work on the trail is focused on the 2025 recruiting class. Georgia currently has five total commits in the class and some more names are starting to rise to the surface as targets the Bulldogs’ staff are chasing after. One of them is wide receiver CJ Wiley, a Georgia native out of Milton High School.

Wiley is a 6-4 receiver and is rated as a four-star prospect, the 31st-best player in the state, and a top-250 player in the country, according to 247 sports composite rankings.

Georgia does not yet have a wide receiver committed to the class but Wiley is certainly one that the Bulldogs would love to land. He measures in well and recently clocked in a 10.83-second finish in the 100m. He checks all of the boxes and his name has started to heat up on the recruiting trail.

Wiley comes from a family that has a lineage of success at the college level. His father Chuck Wiley was a defensive end for LSU from 1994-1997 and eventually became a third-round pick by the Carolina Panthers. Wiley’s mother also has an athletic background herself.

Last season for the Milton Eagles, Wiley recorded 68 receptions, 1,468 yards and 14 touchdowns. He played a massive role in helping lead his high school program to a state championship last season.

It was announced in March that Wiley had narrowed his decision down to 10 schools: LSU, Georgia, Florida State, Ole Miss, USC, Alabama, Colorado, Auburn, Michigan and Texas A&M.

Georgia’s coaching staff recently went under a transition at the wide receiver coaching position as Bryan McClendon accepted a position with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers which led Georgia to hire James Coley to fill the void.

Georgia’s 2025 class is far from being wrapped up and will have a lot of work to do this offseason. Wiley will be a prospect they continue to pursue heavily and is a must-have for head coach Kirby Smart and his roster.
