Georgia Tech currently sits at the bottom of the ACC Coastal after the weekend

It was a hard-fought series for Georgia Tech against Miami, but the Yellow Jackets lost two out of three over the weekend against the Hurricanes.

GT currently sits in last place in the ACC Coastal, which is disappointing for this team. While there was an expected step back after losing eight players to the Draft last season, including 11th overall pick Kevin Parada, this was still a program expected to make the NCAA Tournament. That is looking less likely with each series they lose.

The top of the Coastal is crowded, with Duke (12-8) leading the way and being closely followed by Virginia (12-9), Miami (12-9), and Virginia Tech (10-10) all bunched together. Duke swept Louisville this past weekend and travels to Charlottesville to face Virginia this week. UVA was swept by Notre Dame over the weekend. Virginia Tech won its series against Florida State.

North Carolina (9-10), Pitt (8-11), and Georgia Tech (8-13) are at the bottom of the Coastal. The Tar Heels were swept by Boston College over the weekend, while the Panthers lost two of three to Wake Forest.

On the other side of the conference, Wake Forest holds a commanding lead with a 16-4 record in ACC play and has three non-conference matchups this weekend. Boston College (12-9), Notre Dame (11-10), Clemson (9-9), and Louisville (8-10) are among the next group of teams, while NC State (8-12) and Florida State (5-16) sit at the bottom.
