2025 safety prospect Fenix Felton is the latest player from the state of Georgia to pick up an offer from Georgia Tech.

Felton has great size at 6’2 and 195 pounds. Felton plays for Eagles Landing Christian in McDonough, Georgia, and had a great 2023 season. For the Eagles, he is used as an athlete.

Felton got reps at receiver and in the backfield on offense. He is one of those players you want to keep on the field at all times. On the ground, he rushed for 247 yards and two touchdowns. As a receiver, he had 31 catches for 489 yards and eight touchdowns. He also returned kicks on punts and kickoffs. In total, he had 1,143 all-purpose yards and 10 touchdowns.

His best game on the offensive side of the ball came against Callaway where he had nearly as many catches as touchdowns. Felton finished the game with four catches for 155 yards and 3 touchdowns averaging 39 yards per catch. Those great skills offensively translate to the opposite side of the ball and are part of what makes him special.

Felton projects as a safety on the next level and defensively is where he was most impressive. Felton had 90 tackles, five interceptions, a fumble recovery, and a sack. He played his best football down the stretch. He had four games in 2023 where he had 10+ tackles in a game including three of the final five games. Also, he had an interception in the final three games.

He is great at playing the ball on defense. Felton has a knack for jarring the ball loose and making a big play. As far as tackling goes, Felton loves to put his body on the line and come up and make a big hit or create a turnover with a forced fumble.

As far as his recruiting, Felton currently has 13 offers from Liberty, Coastal Carolina, Charlotte, Georgia State, Marshall, Troy, UAB, Indiana, Georgia Southern, Delaware, and Navy. Felton has spring visits remaining to Coastal Carolina, Georgia Southern, Delaware, and Charlotte.

Felton picked up an offer from the Yellow Jackets on Tuesday and talked about what it meant to him to receive the offer.

“Receiving a Georgia Tech offer means a lot to me, my family, and my recruitment! This process shared with my family has truly been a blessing, definitely knowing the hard work it required since the age of 4. What I like about the program are the educational opportunities, the urgency instilled in the players, and their desire to compete day in and day out,” said Felton.

Felton has continued to build his relationship with defensive backs coach Cory Peoples and will be on campus this weekend for junior elite day at Georgia Tech.

“Seeing Coach Peoples live in action really showed me his leadership and his love for coaching. “He also demonstrated many other great qualities on the phone, starting a great relationship between him and I. Representing my state in any form or fashion would be like a match made in heaven. “I plan on visiting tech this Saturday for the Jr Elite day,” said Felton.

Felton could very well see his offers exceed 20 in the summer and spring. He has a lot of potential and is just getting started.
