Georgia Tech has one of the ACC's top 2027 recruiting classes, and they are already hard at work on getting another commitment for the class of 2028. Prospects are already coming off the board for next year's recruiting class, and the Yellow Jackets are looking to add to their current class, which consists of three-star wide receiver Elijah Reeves.

One of the top targets for Georgia Tech is 2028 safety Jaelyn Easterling-Flores. Today, the Desert Edge (AZ) High School Product named his final six schools and the Yellow Jackets made the cut and were in some elite company with Miami, LSU, Texas, Auburn, and Oklahoma.

Can Georgia Tech make a push?

It is safe to say that landing a player of this caliber would be a fantastic pull for head coach Brent Key, safeties coach Vinnie Sunseri, and the entire program.

Easterling-Flores (6'2 180 LBS) is going to be one of the premier safeties in the 2028 class. He displays excellent instincts and ball skils in coverage, but has the ability to come down in the box and make plays as well. He is a complete player and the Yellow Jackets are in the hunt to land his services.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Easterling-Flores is ranked as the No. 59 player in the country, the No. 5 safety prospect in the country, and the No. 4 player in the state of Arizona. He holds other offers from schools such as Georgia, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio State, among others.

Georgia Tech has a very young safety room entering the 2026 season, but it is talented. Sophomores Tae Harris and Fenix Felton are likely starters this season, and young freshmen such as Kymani Morales, Kealan Jones, Chris Hewitt Jr, and Isaac Obrokta are going to factor into the defense this season.

Safe to say, this would be a recruiting win for the Yellow Jackets who have been busy building out an impressive 2027 class.

Georgia Tech's 2027 class currently ranks 26th in the country and 5th in the ACC. They have 27 prospects currently committed, but could always add a couple of more before the early signing period. Key has said that recruiting is the lifeblood of the program and for Georgia Tech to get better year-over-year, they need to continue to bring in talent. It is very early for the 2028 class, but this is good news.
