Watch: Juanyeh Thomas intercepts Trevor Lawrence in Cowboys' first preseason game
Former Georgia Tech safety Juanyeh Thomas has been making a name for himself this training camp on the Dallas Cowboys and in the Cowboy's first preseason game today, he showed off his ball skills by going up and getting an interception from one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, Trevor Lawrence, who of course played Thomas when he was the quarterback at Clemson.
Thomas did not play for the Cowboys during the 2022 regular season, but he made plays during the 2022 preseason and will be fighting for a roster spot on a team that hopes to contend for a Super Bowl. He appears to be on track to land on this roster if he keeps making plays like he did today.
In January, the Cowboys signed Thomas to a future/reserve contract.
During Thomas's last season on The Flats in 2021, he set a career-high in tackles with 81 and had one sack and two forced fumbles.
