Former Gonzaga PG David Stockton has chance to break NBA G League assists record

In this story:
Often seen as a proving ground for young players, the NBA G League Ignite turned to former Gonzaga guards Jeremy Pargo, David Stockton and Admon Gilder Jr. to help guide a young roster looking to become the future of the NBA.
Stockton, an eight-year G League veteran, has experience playing in both the NBA and overseas in Croatia, New Zealand, Germany and Puerto Rico. The 32-year-old broke the G League record for assists in a game (19) and led the league in total assists (199). Now he'll have a chance to break the league's all-time assists mark this season.
Pargo has the most experience playing professionally overseas to go with a few short stints in the NBA. With connections all across the globe, the Ignite is an opportunity to jump-start a potential career in coaching.
Gilder, 27, enters his first season in the G League. Playing professionally either in the NBA or overseas is still in play at this stage of his career — if he seizes the opportunity with the Ignite.
