Gonzaga center Efton Reid III has entered the transfer portal, according to a report from The Athletic's Tobias Bass on Tuesday.

Reid, who will be a junior next season, averaged 2.1 points and 1.0 rebounds in 4.7 minutes per game for the Zags.

Initially expected to serve as the primary backup behind Drew Timme and Anton Watson, Reid struggled to crack the team's rotation and mostly played in garbage time. He seemingly lost minutes to Ben Gregg, who had a breakout year in which he registered 5.1 points per game and shot 37% from 3-point range.

Reid's decision marks the second time Gonzaga has seen three of its players enter the transfer portal in one offseason. Guards Dominick Harris and Hunter Sallis announced their intentions to leave the program last month.

The 7-foot, 240-pounder was a 5-star recruit in high school when he committed to LSU, where he played one season before coming to Gonzaga.
