Gonzaga men's basketball to host Lewis-Clark State in exhibition opener

In this story:
Before they officially tip off the 2023-24 regular season, the Gonzaga Bulldogs will host NAIA school Lewis-Clark State in an exhibition game.
The Zags welcome the Warriors on Nov. 3, a week before its first known regular season game against Yale (Nov. 10) and roughly a month after Kraziness in the Kennel (Oct. 7).
Lewis-Clark State finished 14-15 last season and 11-11 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference.
Sam Stockton, son of former Gonzaga legend John Stockton, enters his senior season with the Warriors. Stockton had an opportunity to play against his father's alma mater in 2021 when he finished with two points, two rebounds and five assists in a 112-62 loss to the Zags. The 6-foot-2 guard attended Gonzaga Prep with Anton Watson.
The two schools have met in the regular season twice, with Gonzaga coming out on top in both matchups. The Zags downed the Warriors 116-61 in a 2019 exhibition game.
Lewis-Clark State will also travel to Tuscon, Arizona, on Oct. 20 for an exhibition game against Tommy Lloyd and the Wildcats.
Gonzaga has yet to finalize its 2023-24 nonconference slate. After hosting Yale, Mark Few's team will travel to Honolulu for the 2023 Maui Invitational for three games, before heading to Las Vegas to play USC. Then the Zags will make two trips to Seattle to battle Washington (Dec. 9) and UConn (Dec. 15) with a tune-up game at home against Mississippi Valley State in between (Dec. 11).
The Zags host Jackson State (Dec. 20) and San Diego State (Dec. 29) before conference play begins in early 2024. They'll take a break from West Coast Conference action for a trip to Lexington, Kentucky, to face the Wildcats (Feb. 10).
