The Golden Lions enter their third season under head coach Solomon Bozeman following a 10-21 (6-12 in SWAC play) finish in 2022-23, marking the program's 10th consecutive sub-.500 campaign. Leading scorer Shaun Doss Jr. (17.7 points per game) departed to play professionally in Finland, but lead playmaker Kylen Milton (13.2 points, 4.1 assists per game) looks to take a step up in his junior season. Bozeman also brought in All-SWAC guard and Bethune-Cookman transfer Joe French over the offseason.
The Dec. 5 matchup will be the second all-time meeting between the two programs. Gonzaga came out victorious in the previous meeting, a 110-60 win at home during the 2019-20 season.
