How to watch Gonzaga Bulldogs vs. UCLA Bruins at Maui Invitational

For the fourth straight season, the Gonzaga Bulldogs and UCLA Bruins meet in a neutral-site game.

No. 11 Gonzaga (3-1) rebounded from its loss to No. 2 Purdue with a 19-point win over Syracuse on Tuesday. The Bulldogs dominated down low, as they outrebounded the Orange (3-2), 48-28, and scored 25 second-chance points on 17 offensive boards. Two players finished with double-doubles, as Graham Ike had 16 points and 14 rebounds while Anton Watson finished with 12 points and 13 rebounds.

Nolan Hickman paced the offense with 19 points as Gonzaga shot 46.9% from the floor and knocked down 7-of-20 3-point attempts.

For the Bruins (4-1), they bounced back from Monday's 71-69 loss to No. 4 Marquette in a route over Chaminade in the consolation bracket. Sophomore post-Adem Bona and freshman Sebastian Mack share the scoring load with 15.8 points per game apiece. UCLA is 13th in adjusted defensive efficiency on KenPom, while Gonzaga is 11th in both offensive and defensive efficiency.

The Bulldogs have ended the Bruins' season twice in iconic fashion over the last three years, with the most recent being Julian Strawther's go-ahead triple in the Sweet 16 last March. The 2021 Final Four matchup was decided at the buzzer, as freshman guard Jalen Suggs drilled a halfcourt shot to send the program to its first National Championship game. The two West Coast powers also met in Las Vegas for the Empire Classic in the 2021-22 season, in which Chet Holmgren led the way in an 83-63 victory.
