Gonzaga (9-4) dropped 11 spots to No. 24 in the latest AP Poll following an 84-74 setback against San Diego State at the McCarthey Athletic Center last week.

Pepperdine (7-8) and Gonzaga will face off in the WCC opener for the third consecutive season. It will be their 96th all-time meeting, with the Bulldogs holding a 65-31 advantage.
The Waves enter Thursday's game on the heels of back-to-back wins over William & Mary and Westcliff.
Michael Ajayi has been their best player this season, averaging team-highs of 17.3 points and 9.5 rebounds per game.
Gonzaga will be looking to secure its 46th consecutive victory against Pepperdine. The Bulldogs' 45-game winning streak versus the Waves ranks as the third-longest streak versus an opponent in Division 1 history.
The Zags have won 27 straight WCC openers, including all 24 conference openers under head coach Mark Few.
With a winning percentage of 83.6%, Few currently boasts the best winning percentage among all active head coaches.
He is just three victories shy of becoming the 14th active head coach in NCAA Division 1 history to reach 700 wins.
