Former Gonzaga Bulldogs star Filip Petrusev and the Serbian men's basketball national team look to close out group-stage play undefeated on Wednesday against South Sudan at the 2023 FIBA World Cup.

Serbia (2-0) breezed to the top of the Group B standings with wins over China and Puerto Rico. Led by NBA talents Nikola Jovic and Bogdan Bogdanovic, the Serbs boast the tournament's third-highest-scoring offense at 99.5 points per game.

Petrusev did not play in the team's last win over Puerto Rico, but the 6-foot-11 forward scored 8 points and grabbed 2 rebounds against China.

South Sudan split its first two group-stage games against Puerto Rico and China. The Sudanese are led by Chicago Bulls guard Carlik Jones, who's third in the tournament in points (28.0) and second in assists (8.5)
