Watch: Canada's Kelly Olynyk knocks down and-one at 2023 FIBA World Cup

In this story:
Kelly Olynyk might not be known for his shot creation in the States, but the former Gonzaga men's basketball star is pulling out all the tricks for Team Canada at the 2023 FIBA World Cup.
Trailing the French national team early, the 6-foot-11 floppy-haired pro gave the Canadians a jolt midway through the second quarter with a difficult off-balanced jump shot that resulted in a 3-point play.
Olynyk got France's Nicolas Batum to bite on a fake pass and screen to guard Dillon Brooks. Team Canada's captain took advantage by immediately putting up a tough fall-away jump shot with Batum bearing down on him.
Canada led France at halftime, 43-40, led by Olynyk's 12 points on 3-for-5 shooting from the floor.
