Guard Terrence Shannon, who averaged 23 points, is coming being named Big Ten Tournament Most Outstanding Player. He averaged 34 points during the tournament. He was recently named third-team All-American. Illini guard Marcus Domask was a first-team All-Big Ten selection. This is the Illini'34th appearance in the NCAAs, including four straight. Morehead State is led by forward Riley Minix, who was the Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year. The senior averaged 20.8 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 1.3 steals on 54.6 percent shooting in 34 games. He led the Eagles to a program-record 26 wins.
